AHU Hosts Landmark International Conference on Education in the Era of AI and Cybersecurity: Strategic Visions and Holistic Approaches

 

MosulIraq – 22–23 April 2026 – Al-Hadba University (AHU), in cooperation with the Center for Psychological Research and Noon Center for Specialized Research and Studies, successfully convened a landmark international scientific conference titled Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity: Strategic Visions and Holistic Approaches, reaffirming the University's commitment to advancing higher education and engaging meaningfully with the most pressing opportunities and challenges of the digital age.


🌐 Advancing Knowledge Through Strategic Dialogue

The conference embodied the shared vision of Al-Hadba University and its research partners to position Iraqi higher education at the forefront of contemporary scholarly inquiry. By bringing together academics, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners under one roof, the event created a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas on how artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are reshaping teaching, learning, research, and institutional governance.

The comprehensive scientific program was organized around six interrelated tracks:

✅ Cybersecurity in the Educational Environment

✅ Strategic Visions for the Future of Education

✅ Psychological and Social Approaches in Light of Digital Transformation

✅ Scientific Research and Innovation in the Era of Artificial Intelligence

✅ Educational Legislation and Policies in Light of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity


🤝 Distinguished Participation and Scholarly Output

The conference attracted a remarkable assembly of academic and research talent from across Iraq and the wider region:

  • 46 accepted research papers addressing the conference themes.
  • 80 researchers representing universities, research centers, and specialized institutions.
  • More than 200 participants attending sessions, panels, and side discussions.
  • Prof. Dr. Salah I. Yahya, Vice President for Scientific Affairs at Al-Hadba University, served as Conference Chair and delivered the keynote address, framing the strategic outlook for AI and cybersecurity in higher education.

🏆 Honoring Ceremonies and Recognition of Knowledge Partners

At the opening of the recognition ceremony, the presidency of Al-Hadba University presented the University Shield and the Conference Shield to His Excellency the Deputy Minister, in appreciation of his active attendance and patronage of this scientific event, which lays out a roadmap for integrating intelligent technologies into the national educational system under the umbrella of cybersecurity.

Honoring the Knowledge Partners:

In appreciation of their efforts in ensuring the success of the first day's activities, the University honored its strategic partners, foremost among them:

•       Center for Psychological Research

•       Noon Center for Specialized Research and Studies

The University presidency expressed its gratitude for the substantive scientific role played by the two centers, affirming that the convergence of efforts between the University and specialized research centers is the cornerstone for producing scientific outputs that serve society.

In a gesture reflecting the success of the conference on its first day, the partners — the Center for Psychological Research and the Noon Center — reciprocated by honoring the presidency of Al-Hadba University, in appreciation of the warm hospitality and meticulous organization, and for the significant role the University plays in convening scholarly elites to address the challenges of the digital age.
